"WHEN THE
DUST SETTLES"

mixed media collage on canvas
12" x 12"

SOLD AT CHARITY AUCTION

"I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free..."

This painting was done in response to the 9/11 Attack on America.  I donated it to the Art For America benefit held on December 30, 2001 at Clos Pegase Winery, Calistoga, Ca.  The benefit was open to all Bay Area artists and the proceeds will go towards the creation of a mural in New York.  The mural, which will begin construction in September, 2002, will be done by and for the survivors, children of the victims, emergency workers, local artists, and others in the community who have been affected by this tragedy.  This mural will not only memorialize the legacy of the victims, but also signify a future of hope and peace for the survivors and will stand as a healing work of art for the generations to come.  I am proud to say that this piece sold for more than the asking price and it also won an honorable mention award.  I also submitted a framed print of "Hope II," which also sold.  Please visit http://www.artforamerica.net/ for more information.
