"I am feeling rather empty today. I wonder if my life will ever be full again...full of love, laughter and hope...Thoughts of emptiness. Thoughts of sadness. I am afraid to be close to anyone for fear that they too, will leave me. Will I ever find my missing pieces?" Loneliness is one of the saddest emotions. You feel empty, helpless and alone. It was as though my security blanket had been taken away and ripped to shreds. This painting symbolizes my missing pieces where I am the lonely piece. The remaining puzzle is elevated onto a different plane representing a different level of consciousness. The torn edges symbolize unstable boundaries. |
