"Why me? Why the hell did this have to happen to me?"

Anger is a common emotion following death. It can occur at any moment and at anyone or anything. Although we cannot choose how to be angry, we can choose how to express it. Whether it be writing in a journal, painting, plahing sports or even throwing a pillow, expressing your anger is a very important process for working through the grief.

I was very angry at myself and the circumstances that prevented me from being at home when my mom died. I was angry at my family for not coming to me sooner. I was angry at God for taking her from me. By blaming everything around me I was able to accept the significance of the situation.
